Site Terms and Legal-Halachic Undertaking to Pay Matchmaking Fees

Terms of use — please read before using the site or registering. If the Hebrew and English versions differ, the Hebrew version prevails. Purchasing membership or completing registration, including entering your ID/passport number, constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Eligibility and age
The service is for people aged 18 and over only. By registering or purchasing membership you confirm you are at least 18. We may verify age and identity.
3. Account, password and managed cards
You are responsible for keeping login details confidential. Profile information must be accurate. A parent, relative or matchmaker may create a card for you; completing registration (claim) requires you to accept these terms, the privacy policy, confirm 18+, and consent as the data subject.
4. Nature of the service
United Match provides a technology platform and a human matchmaking network (matchmakers, staff, cooperating rabbis). We do not guarantee a match, a number of suggestions, or any outcome. Final decisions are yours.
5. Monthly membership, pricing and cancellation
Monthly fees pay for platform use, maintenance and service — not for closing a match. The price shown is the full amount due (we are not VAT-registered). Membership renews monthly until cancelled. You may cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Under Israeli consumer law you have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract; cancel in writing at united4match@gmail.com. While the site is in build/test mode there is no real charge, as shown at checkout.
6. Matchmaking success fee
When you purchase membership or complete registration you enter an Israeli ID or passport number and accept an undertaking to pay matchmaking fees of ₪4,000.00 if you become engaged or married to a partner presented to you or introduced by the Site or our staff after you joined, and not to someone you already knew. This is separate from membership fees. Each party pays the full amount for themselves. Payment is due in full within 7 days of closing the match (engagement/vort/signing conditions) and in any event before the wedding, whichever is earlier, via a pre-approved payment method (where available) or any lawful means. Entering your ID/passport number together with accepting these terms is a record of your consent; we keep a record (time, version, amount shown, IP, browser).
7. Events
Event registration is subject to the cancellation terms published on the event page. Your statutory cancellation rights under Israeli consumer law (including the 14-day distance-selling period where it applies) still apply.
8. Referral programme
Referral benefits (e.g. first-month discount) are subject to terms shown on the site, eligibility and fair use. We may change or withdraw benefits.
9. Conduct and content
Misuse, harassment, misleading listings, illegal content or violating others' privacy is prohibited. We may suspend or terminate accounts.
10. Halacha
Halacha corner content is general information, not personal halachic ruling. Consult a qualified rabbi for personal questions.
11. Vendors, educators and third parties
Vendor/educator listings are for convenience. We are not responsible for their services; your relationship is with them.
12. Intellectual property
All site, design, content and brand rights belong to United Match or licensors. No copying or commercial use without permission.
13. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". Our liability is limited to fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event, where the law allows, except where liability cannot be limited.
14. Privacy
Personal data processing is described in the site privacy policy. Using the service acknowledges that policy.
15. Suspension and termination
You may request account deletion in settings (after a grace period). We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach or community safety.
16. Governing law
Governing law: Israel. Courts of Jerusalem.
17. Changes to terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown on the site and/or by email; you may need to re-accept before continued use.
